Event Description
The Family Resource Center is hosting a FREE Healthy Teens program for youth in 8th grade-12th grade (minimum age 13) . Held at the FRC, 331 7th St. in Elko on Fri. Aug. 18th from 9am-4pm. Lunch will be provided for attendees. Permission slips are required, signed by parent/guardian before class. Those who attend the full session of the program will receive their choice of a free backpack filled with school supplies or a $25 store gift card! **One free incentive allowed per teen per year**

Details
The "Making Proud Choices" curriculum from ETR.org is a fun, evidence-based, age-appropriate program, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to identify and handle social pressures. Youth learn about reproductive health, hygiene, responsibility, healthy relationships, effective communication, personal safety, and build their knowledge and confidence.
