Iron Woman Mining Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Iron Woman Construction and Environmental Services (Iron Woman), officially commenced operations in January 2018 with the award of the Cleveland Salt Mine Bulkhead Construction Project. Iron Woman Mining Services employs a proven staff of mining professionals who have first-hand knowledge of mining challenges and a collective pool of expertise covering a wide range of mine operations from hard to soft rock mining using both open pit and underground techniques. Customer service is our focus and we work with our clients to deliver our mining projects safely, on schedule and on budget.
Iron Woman is a Native American-owned, asset-based company with more than 250 employees and 300 pieces of rolling equipment, including trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Founded in 1999 with the redevelopment of the Stapleton International Airport in Denver, Iron Woman has grown into an environmental and civil general contractor with operations in Denver, Cleveland, and Elko, Nevada.
Mining Support Services
The Iron Woman Mining Services team provides full mining support services, including drilling, blasting, mucking, excavation, batch plant operations, tunneling, final grading, demolition, underground site construction set-up, dewatering, bulkhead construction, remediation and reclamation, and water and wastewater treatment, as well as miscellaneous mine support services. We are organized to deliver projects where environmental contamination exists in construction, redevelopment, and compliance projects.
Iron Woman Mining is currently providing construction, construction supervision, site layout, safety, and clean-up and disposal for the construction of nine bulkheads 2,000 feet underground and several miles under Lake Erie at the Cleveland Salt Mine, one of the largest salt mines in North America. Our mining experts have extensive experience constructing underground for things like bulkheads, sumps, shops, batch plants, ore passes, rock breakers and crushers, conveyor systems, air doors and ventilation systems, fuel and lube facilities, and HDPE welding and installation.
