* Fresher is Better - Never a Hot or Old Load
When we deliver concrete to you it is never over 1 minute old. Concrete is a lot like sea-food; the fresher the better. If you have ever had lobster in Maine or halibut from the Port in Seattle you will know what I’m talking about. This principle applies to concrete as well. You can put in retarders, float the powder or use numerous other methods in an attempt to slow down the hydration process, but you’re taking a big gamble. In tests comparing the compression strengths of conventionally-mixed concrete with mobile-produced concrete the mobile consistently produced 10-20% higher strengths using the same mix design.
