Healthy Teens Program - Grades 8-12

Family Resource Center is hosting a FREE Healthy Teens program for teens in 8th grade-12th grade (minimum age 13). Held at the FRC, 331 7th St. in Elko on Saturday, September 19th from 9am-4pm. Lunch will be provided. Permission slips are required, signed by parent/guardian before class. For planning purposes, please pre-register: call 753-7352, text 397-1874, or email teenhealth@elkofrc.org.

"Making Proud Choices" is a lively, evidence-based, age appropriate program, proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to identify and handle social pressures. Youth learn about effective communication, hygiene, responsibility, healthy relationships, avoiding risky behaviors, and goal setting.
