THE ELKO HOME SHOW IS THE LARGEST EVENT THAT THE CHAMBER PUTS ON, AND IT IS THE LARGEST EXPO OF ITS KIND IN ELKO COUNTY. OVER MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND, WE FILL UP OUR CONVENTION CENTER INDOORS AND OUT, WITH OVER 100 VENDORS! OUR DIVERSE LIST OF VENDORS SELL UNIQUE ITEMS, CLOTHING, JEWELRY, FURNITURE, FOOD, AND MUCH MORE! THERE IS ALSO UNIQUE DEMOS, GIVE-AWAYS AND KID'S ACTIVITIES. IT'S A GREAT TIME FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY AND A PERFECT PLACE TO TAKE MOM OUT ON MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND. THERE IS NO FEE TO ENTER! The Family Resource Center is hosting a FREE Healthy Teens program for youth in 5th grade-7th grade (ages 10-12) for a one-day Saturday session. Hosted at FRC, 331 7th St. in Elko on Sat. May 13th from 9am-4pm. Lunch will be provided for attendees. Permission slips are required, signed by parent/guardian before class (can be signed morning before class begins). For planning purposes, please pre-register by calling 775-753-7352, texting 775-397-1874, or emailing teenhealth@elkofrc.org.
Those who attend the full session of the program will receive their choice of a free backpack filled with school supplies or a $25 store gift card! **One free incentive allowed per child per year.** Also, all youth who complete a Healthy Teens program from October 2022-September 2023 are eligible to apply for a brand new SCHOLARSHIP opportunity!
