About Us
Billie Crapo was named the CEO of the Elko Area Chamber by the Board of Directors in February 2016. Bringing more than fifteen years of professional experience, she has served in multiple roles at the Chamber including Membership Director and Event and Sales Director.
Billie oversees a small staff and works with the Chamber’s Board of Directors to develop and implement long-range goals and strategy for the area’s largest business organization. In her leadership role she is responsible for the finances, business/government relationships, education and member services. Billie has dedicated her professional career to putting pride in our community and to further grow the local economy.
Having grown up and lived in several other mining communities before making her home in Elko has given Billie a unique perspective on the importance of the mining industry to an area. She has strived to create a long-term positive relationship with the mining and mine support companies in her community.
Billie’s passion for the Chamber and the community inspires and motivates others to make the Elko Area a desired location to work, play and live.
Billie serves on the Board of Directors for Friends for Life, the Marketing Committee for Elko Convention and Visitor Authority, Government Affairs Committee, Elko Lions Club and volunteers for numerous non-profit organizations and businesses. She resides in Elko with her husband Steve where they share a blended family of five sons, four grandsons and one granddaughter.
